At Going Global, we believe that the light which shines the farthest shines the brightest at home. This conviction led to the creation of the Going Local Initiative (GLI)—a program dedicated to making a tangible impact right here in our local community.
In partnership with First Presbyterian Church, GLI was established in 2021 as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) with a clear mission: to provide decent, affordable housing for low and moderate-income families. We recognize that stable housing is vital to the well-being of parents and children alike, fostering stronger families and healthier communities.
Through the rehabilitation of existing homes and the construction of new ones, GLI seeks to revitalize neighborhoods in Clarksville, Montgomery, and Stewart County. Each project is a step toward a brighter, more secure future for families in need, creating opportunities for growth, stability, and hope.
